Started to machine the set of castings for a mill engine. ;D The crankshaft was a casting and through me being impatient and over optimistic whilst machining the offset journal between centres, bent the casting when the tool dug in. Decided to machine this from a solid block. Bar was a lot larger than required so able to make a lot of swarf. Crankshaft now nearly finished and posting pic of it so far. Dave.

Nice work. I made a Stuart 10H a couple of years ago, as a bit of a practice piece. I managed to muck up the con rod so it ended up with a couple of bits of bronze for the big end and a steel rod. After I got it finished I had some 30mm round bar kicking about so I roughed out something similar but have not got any further with it! I thought it might be a little better than the built up Stuart crank which does not have any counter weights.
