Have acquired quite a nice Simplex with a siezed regulator.
Apart from the backhead bolts and the pipe under the dome, what else will need to be disconnected to get the blighter out and have a look?
Thanks,
SB

Hi If it's made to the drawing, as well as the backhead bolts and the steam inlet in the dome you need to remove the superheater then undo the concentric fitting that goes onto the front of the regulator. It's not a straightforward job, I would make every effort to try and unseize the regulator first! Ron

If you haven't already done so, steam the boiler and try to free it off then when it's hot. It's possible that last time it was steamed the regulator was left tight shut when the boiler cooled down and it's locked up solid due to the different expansion of the metals.
