Brit in 3.5" - slide valves

Hi,
Has anyone made a 3.5" Brit. using slide valves? I was wondering if the castings for Evening Star could be used succesfully - does anyone have experience or ideas? I know that the combination lever connection would need to alter - are there any other problems?

Hi Mike,

No reason not to use slide valves instead of piston but it's not just a case of altering the combination lever - you'll have to redesign the complete valve gear to suit.
