Here is the front of the tender. This tender is modern enough to have hinged steel coal gates, they would be a cool detail and fun to make but I think when firing on the run they would just get in the way. There will be stackable coal boards in a channel. Something to scoop coal against, but still easy to reach over. Happy model building Jack Attachments:
