Scrap metal in Herts, Beds

Hi All

I have just bought a MIG welder and need some scrap steel to practise on. Anyone know of a friendly scrap metal dealer in Herts or Beds who will sell a bit of steel to a "muddeler"?

I'm located in Harpenden, Herts - 10 miles south of Luton.

Michael,

It might be more productive to actually make something useful rather than waste a load of lectric and CO2.

You could try B&Q for some of their neat box section and make yourself a welding bench. Doing things for real tends to concentrate the mind more than just pointlessly tacking scrap together.
