Does anyone have any contact details please? I know the new track is at least partially open but I can't find a website.
Thanks.
P.

The City of Newport Society usually has a display stand at the Thornbury exhibition,so you should be able to contact them there. You might be able to make contact through the Bristol Society who run the Thornbury exhibition.Details here www.bristolmodelengineers.co.uk

newportmes.webplus.net/Most reference sites have the old address which is no longer live. The old track (which I knew in the mid 70's) was impressive enough but the new site looks to be a cracker. It has two tracks: a 3.5" / 5" raised and a 5"/ 7.25" ground level. Not to mention the boating pond, the RC car area and the traction engine roadway! G.

I visited the Newport club last Saturday.
I have to say that the site is very good now, even though it is nowhere near finished. I can only imagine what the finished article will be.
As for the members, you couldn't wish for a more friendly or helpful bunch.
My 2 boys and I enjoyed a wonderful run with our Polly 2 and Maxitak battery/elec Planet.
Looking forward to a return.
Pete.
