While looking through old pics I came across these that I took during the restoration of a Maisie and thought they might be of interest. Thanks DJ, I think it was about 7 months with other projects in between. First photo was about January, painting done in June/July, though I think I left the lining a couple of months after that.

I tried a few ways with transfers etc, and I ended up painting the bands white first of all and then putting a black line transfer along the centre, then varnished it to protect it.

Thanks Shawki, it was very much a tryout to see if I could paint and line satisfactorily, still a few problem areas that I need to sort out oneday.
