Without being rude Tel, what is that? Could be a 4 poster for a Filipino dwindie with a drainage trough?

Well, DJ, at the moment it's four columns mounted on a base plate - watch this space!

No picture(s) of the machining opp this time Tel? Was it a ball nose cutter with the work held in a dividing head?

OK Tel - but if it's a stationary engine, how can it be "Moving right along"?

OK Tel - but if it's a stationary engine, how can it be "Moving right along"? DJ Actually a marine engine so the metaphor is apt. Rod, yes to the ball nosed end mill (3mm) but I didn't just the dividing heard due to the lack of a tailstock (yet). Instead I used to old dodge of screwing two short pieces of hex to the ends and grabbing the bundle in the vise. I'll set up a couple of pics later, if time permits.

Well, when you come up here, I have a plank of wood, so all you need is a propellor and we can see if your metaphor is apt - as long as you point it in the right direction (not the left!) ;D ;D

Looking at the ruler behind, it seems to be quite a small engine - what size is it?

The base plate is 6" long by (about) 2 1/2" wide. Today I started making a flywheel - my usual 3 piece construction

Lemme know when you've got the gunn'els and rudder fitted. The beams roughed out and hung on the engine for a look-see

The gun whales will be completed shortly - would you like holes or slots for the cannons DJ
