It is indeed. The first time I have ever seen one. I did intend to return and take more photos, but other things prevented it.
The file which is held down by weight plus a spring, has a reciprocating motion, and the saw is moved along by a pawl which acts on the teeth of the blade.
The blade supports can obviously be placed where required so that it can take any length blade.
Simple but effective.
