Very nice , I take it you sit on the coaches for driving and also carry passengers on them .

Thanks for the comments guys, there is a third coach too but I couldn't fit it in the car that day! I do sit on the coach to drive, its remarkably comfortable as can be seen in the video! The coaches are due for a repaint in the next few weeks, I'm think IOMR colours, see www.iomsrsa.com/pass-st/124-f35Cheers Steve

Hi Steve,
I had a devil of a job driving my Polly 2 at ground level. I had to get the boiler full, fire roaring and open the regulator and away, just using the trolley break to adjust speed. The axle pump more or less kept up but she needed a bit of a top up after each lap. The track was about 0.5 miles long.
On raised track of course it is very easy to reach everything.
I see you have an extension for the regulator. Do you do anything else whilst running or do you wait till the end of the lap?
Have to say your set-up looks great and I imagine the loco goes like the clappers.
Pete.

I don't find it too much trouble on ground level. I only have the regulator extension but this comes off and I use it for the drain cocks. I'm going to change the blower and injector steam handwheels to 'open' types so I can make an extension fork for those. Even though I don't use the axle pump and rely on injector, its not too much of a stretch from the driving position on the coach. I tend not to coal up on the go as I lose as much as I put in and because I run with the blower cracked it tends to draw too much cold air! Given all of the above, its hard work to keep her from blowing off most of the time and yes, she goes like a stabbed rat!
