Gilling Mainline August Rally

Anyone from here going to this event? I'm hoping to make it this time having not been able to get there in May

Also, does anybody know of any good sites featuring pics of the mainline rallies other than the RSME site itself and Sharpos Miniature World, they seem to be a bit thin on the ground......, Cheers, Mike

I will almost certainly be there, it is a superb spectacle to watch and probably even better to participate although I have taken part yet.

I have probebly been to most rallies in the last 4 years and have enjoyed every one, even when it is raining!

Unfortunately in the end I couldn't make it to this event did anyone manage to get any pics from the event?

I had a very good couple of days at Gilling although I didn't take many photos this time, a few can be seen at richardwills633.fpic.co.uk/c1069880.html

As usual it was a good display of 5" locos and stock although not the best turnout I have seen there.

If I get the time I will post some photos from earlier rallies over the next couple of weeks.

I'm going to try and persuade my model engineering society to loan me the "Speedy" we have to take to Gilling next year
