My early Super 7 (which has the clutch contained within the countershaft 4-step cast-iron pulley) has gradually developed a rattle and needs adjustment, but the manual I have is for the later cone clutch version.
Does any member of the forum have the adjustment instructions for the earlier type of clutch?

Is it the one that looks like a tiny drum brake?
I can't remember exactly how i adjusted the one on my ML7 but there is a short rod in the actuating mechanism that had got bent. It's about an inch or maybe a bit longer and 1/4" or so diameter. I straightened that out in the vice and it did improve things.
Cheers,

Simplex,
I've just found my Myford 7B manual and can scan and email a picture of the necessary page. Mail me off line if you still need it.

Guys,
Seems a picture of the 1961 7B clutch assembly isn't the one. This means the challenge is still on to come up with the goods for Simplex.

Simplex,
It occurs that my old S7 has rattles perhaps better described as it jingles more than it should. In my case it's the motor pulley that needs a tweak on the grub screw. Trouble is that it's tucked in the corner and a real bar steward to fix.
