I'm in the process of restoring a Bowman M140 that my grandfather had as a boy and passed on to me. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me an indication of what it will be worth when its finished (not sure whether I'll actually sell it).
It's all original parts and all brass work have polished up really well. Unfortunately the painted parts have had to be repainted incuding the base plate so the Bowman sign has gone.
Also, does anyone know where I can find a genuine pressure relief valve for it?
Thanks in advance.

Antiques are often more valuable in their original condition ie unrestored. Sorry can't help with valuation. I think transfers are available.isc

Thanks isc, unfortunately everything on it had been painted silver at some point to restoring it was the only option!

Have a google for Bowman Circle, they can probably help you with valuation or parts.
Cheers Alex

For a replacement saftey valve, try googling, MF Steam, or MANOR MODELS.
I have just sold one for £50 but was told that was a real bargain for someone!
