Just finnished G1 12v River loco, all scratch built inc wheels, 60 rpm motor with integeral gearbox ( found on ebay for £6) huge torque, it will crawl very slowly. Van and viaduct are scratch built, van made of plasticard and viaduct made of MDF. Just need a bigger house or a hall to run it!!!! Thanks Mike Attachments:

Hello mikemill, Almost all of my models have been of the "Dean" era but only in 5" gauge. Your creation looks superb and is of a standard which I could not achieve even in my chosen scale. Superb, Mike, you are to be congratulated.

Taff Thanks for your kind words, I to have admired the work of Dean also Armstrong I think those Edwardian engines are so elagent. I have built a Dean Goods and a 517 class tank in 5" gauge, along with many other traction, and i.c. engines so I have a house full, thats why I am know working in G1 as they take up less space. I am currently working on drawings for a GWR steam rail motor, to emulate the restoration of the real thing at Didcot. Best Mike
