Hello All How are you fine folks ? I am based in Melbounre Australia I thought it polite to introduce my self , before asking the silly questions ! Well I am atempting my first traction engine , a Burrell colonial in 1 1/2" scale , yes I hear the groans already ! But stuck with this size , as most bits will be big jobs on my little lathe ! I done my apprenticeship as a toolmaker , but went into maintanance not long out of my time ! I had a little play with gauge 1 live steam for awhile , more kits than ground up builds , but the heart loves Traction Engines any way enough of my ramblings ! Take care folks and hope not to be to much of a pain Andree

G'day Hairbear, Sorry for the lateness of this reply but nice to see you on the site and building a Burrell Colonial....great news! I mean it's a Burrell it's got to be good. 1.5" scale shouldn't be anything to groan about. There are a couple of 1.5" sclae engines that attend the Australian Miniature Traction Engine rally each year and they pull an adult without any troubles. You'll have a great time with your engine Jim
