Hello all,
I was recently elected as secretary of the Stockport club. Not a power struggle, my esteemed predecessor wanted to stand down after many years of sterling work.
Question - Is there a list or website giving details of people willing to give talks at club meetings? All subjects considered!
Regards to all,
Waggy.

I've never sorted out talks for my model eng club but I have for my local motorbike club and it amazes me sometimes what subjects interest people the most. My advice would be to look at all subjects and not just those with an engineering side. Look out your local photographic and film societies who often have some amazing shows already set up. I was lucky and found someone who takes photographs underground while caving - absolutely fascinating stuff. And don't forget to ask other club members what they do for a living - I kept everyones attention with a talk on traffic signals, of all things.
