Certainly is complicated particular the valve gear , I built both of these engines but I will not attempt another King again . At the end when one finish the king it is a relief and celebration , they do run like a Swiss watch and look great .You have done quite a bit and certainly looks very nice , all the best .

Hello king looks nice i have built one in fact it has one of your headboards on . my king is to Keith Wilson design with scaled down valve gear and having access to a swindon drawing has added detail. I have at moment a Star and Manor on the go so i am yes a middle chrome green thing fan! lot of work in a king but well worth the effort not only in finished engine itself but attention you get whenever you take it out!!

Thank you all for your comments. I have been ironing out a few niggles with the Manor as well as laying track in the garden. We managed to get an afternoons playing before the weather turned. Just in the process of fitting Dave Noble GWR drain taps. Brackets are made for the new linkage. Hope to finish it the next week or so. Next job prototype regulator linkages etc.
