Hi Ive just been wondering if i have a boiler built commercially can i still opt for Expanded and beaded tubes? as oposed welded in tubes
Ths would be for a 7 1/4 inch gauge romulus and possibly other enggines in the future
Whilst i know home built boilers are permitted to use this method im not aware what the PED regulations state

I just had a 4” scale steel traction engine boiler built which is CE marked, the tubes are rolled in. I have more recently had a quote for a large 7.25 gauge locomotive boiler and the tube are rolled in that as well.

Jordan,
A CE marked boiler is allowed to have expanded in tubes.
