Now owning a GWR engine you would think i should now that but with me being born and bred in Manchester GWR engines are not ( and i dont mean this in a bad way guys ) my thing so to speak, Brits un-rebuilt scots 4f's 2P's now they are what float my boat lol

Steve that is a lovely engine like most GWR , I built the King , Manor and Dukedog , you can see them on my homepage . It does not matter who built the engine , you own the engine and having fun with it , the hobby is for all, builders, buyers , operators .Take care of her .

jones1972, thats a fine looking machine indeed and im sure your proud of your work, look forward to seeing the 5" gauge versions, so how far ahead are you with them? Here's a picture of the only engine i've built from scratch to date, this was the castings kit from stuart turner and is the S50, i made it to actually see if i could read the drawings and machine the castings, it works too i built it around 1998. Nice Steve. And good to see the steam supply line and lubricator. Some stationary engines look very minimalist to me! John

Middle chrome thing is because the GWR green is in fact middle chrome green, not the usually incorrectly quoted Brunswick green.
