I want to mill a radius so a valve block will fit to the side of a cylinder. I do not have a ball end slot drill of the specific size and so an answer is to mill in steps. Guy Lautard published a book of tables for a range of radii but of course the one I want is not included. Having worked out the numbers the hard way I wonder it there is any information about using a programme such as Microsoft Excel or the like to generate the necessary numbers. I have tried to programme Excel but I am afraid to admit, it has beaten me! John

Hi Tel, Thanks for the suggestions. It seems easier to get the alignment for the cut using my vertical mill besides I do not have an adjustable boring bar of a suitable size - yet!
I will have a look at the zip file.

Tel,
Thanks again for your suggestions. I have had another go with Excel and seem to have something which gives the right answers. It now needs refining to make it user friendly.
Regards, John
