Hi Dinmoremanor, I agree the photos are great ;D. If anybody else has take any photo of this event it would be nice to see them posted on this site or a link to them for us all to enjoy, especially for those of us who could not make it this year . Thanks Jason

Well, the show didn't seem too bad to me,much the same as last year, but with one or two traders missing. The standard of models was pretty high too.I still managed to buy a few bits & pieces though, and meet one or two off the list. However, rumours of me juggling pints of beer and throwing them at the viffer are greatly exaggerated,- honest!! ;D Phil

Ended up going on Saturday rather than Sunday, but had a good day, got there just after doors opened and was there to hear the exhibition being closed. A really nice selection of models, but possibly less than I seam to remember from the past??? Sadly no examples of the three models I am thinking of building. (LILLA, MOUNTAINEER and HUNSELETTE) I realy enjoyed watching the live steamers outside, shame there was not a bigger track to see a few more locomotives working... I was suprised at how many stands were not letting you pay by card, my supply of cash was quickly depleated and so some things I had wanted I let without... However got a good deal from the WARCO stand and so am awaiting delivery of a VMC with 3way DRO and power feed

the_viffer walks in the house.
His wife, 3 Horses, (nag, nag, nag) engages him in conversation.
3 Horses: [Expletive deleted]. You’ve been down the pub you [expletive deleted].
the_viffer: No, no, my love I went to an exhibition chatted to a few friends and came back. There wasn’t even a bar that I found.
3 Horses: Well you smell like a [expletive deleted] brewery.
the_viffer: My dearest I met this bloke and he said ‘here is a bottle of beer for you to drink later’ only he dropped it and it exploded and beer went all over my trousers.
3 Horses: A likely [expletive deleted] story. Your bag not only smells of beer but it is wet. I reckon you’ve been in the pub all day.
the_viffer: Light of my life, he said here is another bottle of beer. So I picked it up and put it in my bag and carefully laid it on the ground. 10 seconds later there was a pop and the bottle exploded.
3 Horses: Do you think I’m as [expletive deleted] green as I’m cabbage looking you [expletive deleted][expletive deleted]. You’ll have to come up with more believable lies than that. Now grovel, lick the sink clean, and go and sleep in your old taxi you're not coming in the house for a week.
Exeunt the_viffer dodging flying domestic utensils.

... and another thing. According to Meridienne Exhibiitons website there is a courtesy bus from Leamington Spa station to the venue. Get to Leamington Spa and find a notice that the bus doesn't run on Sunday.
Laugh? I nearly tried.
Ten quid for a taxi there. Couldn't get a taxi back so had walk the 3.4 miles (wishing I'd a couple of beers in my bag).
I shall certainly be wary in the future about what this organiser says about transport.

From what I recal there was mention of this on the pre show leaflet I recived with my tickets... I know that does not help you.

"From what I recall there was mention of this on the pre show leaflet I received with my tickets... I know that does not help you."
So it wasn't a last minute let down by the bus co they knew well in advance but couldn't be bothered to change the publicly available information.
I feel a Small Claims Court Action coming on.

Slight smell of alcohol here I think! Two questions spring to mind. Firstly, why was there alcohol left over to fall out of the truck? ;D Secondly, why did t_v not turn left as he came out instead of right. He could have walked to Northampton and come to our Sunday steam-up which would have been an excellent experience and he would only have had to walk 32 miles further! ;D Regards, Tony.

The flying debris reminded him too much of 3 Horses. (Vicious and likely to cut to the bone). Had he known and if beer was offered he might well have walked 32 miles more.

Having been left standing once with a group of ModEngs waiting for a non-existent "courtesy bus", I've given up the temptation and always go by car - except to Olympia.
Us ModEngs are a friendly lot and, I'm sure, we wouldn't like to see a fellow ModEng walking 3+ miles if we could help it.
I was there on Sunday and, if the viffer had stood outside the entrance with a card saying, "Give a poor *&@$££& a lift to the station", I'd have done so.
Lets face it, with approximately 100+ miles to drive home what another 3.4 miles ?

As I was working down south I decided to look in on the show. Was that it? Or did I miss something? one tent and a hall full of vendors. Not many club stands and not that much on show. There seemed to be plenty of traction engines running but other than that I thought it was poor.
