Help please. I am trying to repair this drill. I wont go as far as to say 'restore' When I bought it the backgear had been destroyed by a previous owner. I have found someone who can remake the gears however I am unsure how the backgear spindle locates at the top on the axis.
At the bottom there is a missing bearing, which I can replace. Just not sure what happens at the top? The pivot is machined top and bottom for a bearing.
I was hoping to post a second picture to clarify matters.
Has any one got access to a JGH or plans? This drill was imported by Stanton Thompson of Kingston Surrey.
