Is there any information available anywhere on improvements that need to be carried out on the Black 5 or any upgrades which should be done? I am also looking for some dimensions for the the wheels and motion work if anyone can help PLEASE  |

I have about 90% of the kit but I understand there are a number of "improvements" that need to be done for the engine to run. I don t have any or the motion but I understand this needs some work. I don't have the wheels or axels either.
I currently have the chassis assembled so I would like to incorporate any upgrades or modifications at this stage. Any assistance or advice would be freatly appreciated

I don't know the Black 5 kit at all but I do have a Winson 9F and there are several 9Fs and Britannias in our club. The most common improvement relates to the steam passages. If your model is like ours it will run OK but will be flat out at walking pace as the steam passages are too small diameter. For proper performance and power these all need to be opened up - this includes those in the cylinder castings and also the regulator. Hopefully someone on here will know more precisely what's required.
