Hello everyone,
My wife and l have just purchased a home on Anglesey. We have 1.2 acres and want to develop a 7 1/4" railway upon it, The longest run will be over 200'. It has some woodland and a stream along the longest stretch. If anyone is interested in helping to develop the layout and running please contact me at phippsdj@yahoo.com Looking forward to meeting you Daniel

Hello Daniel, I was involved in various BR civil engineering works on Anglesey, and if my experience of the enthusiasm of the local railwaymen is anything to go by, you will have no trouble getting help... once you get to know them! Dave

as a little cautionary tale it may be advisable to get in contact with your local planning department and discuss your plans. i was part of a scheme in north wales that unfortnatly hit issues with planning and folded resulting in a lot of blood sweat and tears and not to mention money lost. sad to think about it and what it would and could of been but this is just the way things go. councils will look at the possible change of use of the land and the impact it has too
