Hi,
I have one of these and ran it for 4 years. Stripped down at the moment as the tubes went in the boiler.
What do you want to know ?.

Hello from America
I do hope I am not ramming in where I do not belong, but I too am coming to this group for help.
I have accuired a partial build of a Winson, Baldwin, 2-8-2 LYN.
It had been purchased by a Modeler in Florida who only acquired the first nine kits.
It was abandoned, sometime in the past, being donated to a club were it went into a wet strorage container . Itt has become quite rusty but all the vital parts such as the cylinders are in good shape. it is missing a few parts but nothing I can not fabricate in the shop.
While I am currently tearing it all down for cleaning and painting, my request for help is for a set of rough dimensions on the boiler and smoke box.
I am planning on having the local club boiler maker help me with the fabrication.
Please send a PM if you can help
Thanks
Charlie

I really have more than I can do on the PS-4.
I am a sucker for old equipment in bad shape. All my tools are a proof of the that.
I am spending about an hour a day in the shop on cleaning and cataloging the "Rust Bucket" parts.
Looks like I have all the major components with only a few odds and ends that will need to be made.
I have a local club memeber who does boilers and when it is running on air I will look into having him do the honors.
I am looking for the general dimensions for the boiler exterior if anyone has it.

This is a request to anyone that has a running Winson Locomotive. I have the LYN chassis running on air and am experiencing an issue with trying to hook up the engine
When you advance the Johnson bar, in either forward or reverse, the valve travel very quickly becomes so short the valves stop opening. This after maybe a quarter of an inch in bar travel
Has anyone had to overcome this problem on any Winson Engine?
