Regulator for 5” gauge medium size By Shawki Shlemon Many years ago I was building an engine!!! And I was not happy about the regulator therefore I decided to design my own. Considering that the regulator is inside the boiler, what matters how is it made as long as it works. This regulator was initially designed for dome installation but later I relocated steam inlet and outlet and use it on NSW C 36 in the smoke box successfully. I used this type regulator on few 5” gauge engines and one 7.25” gauge. (NSW Z 13). For the 7.25” G multiply all dimensions by 1.4 I admit not all my engines have this type regulator as it is not suitable for dome less boilers for example. I am new on computers and this is my first attempt to draw on CAD, so forgive me for any imperfections. I am only showing the regulator, the control rod, levers etc..., should be as per drawing or your choice. For any questions please log on my website Shlemon live steam models.
