Not sure on club rules or insurance but I hope to get my 7 year old driving live steam this year.
The garden track will have to do if the H & S police rule it out at the club track.
I'm sure the readers in general will want to know that your GWR engine performed superbly! Also you were seen running alongside the loco and I am jealous that your legs will carry you at considerable speed.

Long time since i've been to that track...looking good.
As regards 7-year olds driving, it shouldn't be a problem at a 'private' function...i was driving a that age!

Very encouraging to see young people interested in the hobby , I wish I could convince even one of my children or grand children , I put their names on the engines , they can have one of their choice but all does not work .Very happy for you
