Hi i have recently bought a clarson vertical steam engine. It requires a bit of restoration work but it is missing the linkage between the spindle with the wheel on and the 2 rods from the expansion link.
Does anyone know if you can still get hold of parts for these engines, or any plans. As i am looking towards replacing these parts.
Regards josh

Clarksons ceased trading (in steam engines) many years ago. The chance of finding parts is so close to zero as to be impossible.
Likewise, drawings are rare and hard to find. Most have probably been scrapped over the years. You might find some, or perhaps someone who is willing to copy the drawing you require. (You might also win the lottery, I would hate to say which is the better odds!)
I suspect that you will have to make the parts from scratch, perhaps using a picture from an old advert as a guide.
