Hi - Really this is addressed to Andy but I can't find the way to get to him other than starting a new thread.
I've been dropping in and reading the 'last 20 threads' most days - thinking that gave me a good oversight about recent activity.
Yesterday morning I made a posting and expected to see it, or some contribution this morning when I visited. To my surprise there was nothing in the last 20 posts but when I found the thread (another story itself!) I found four or five further contributions had been made.
What I suggest is that a member should be able to look at postings since the last time he/she visited - or from a time of their choice.
Any chance of this(or can it be done now if I knew how?)

Hi D.G.M. If I am following your thinking, you can see your last number of posts if you go into your ''BIO''.you may also find ''your'' thread the same way, if I am correct. Something similarly strange happened one of my posts a short while ago. All the best , John.

On my PC a blue 'new' icon is shown against each thread that has had postings since I last looked at it. If you don't see this icon, you have probably disallowed 'cookies' in your browser options, or some such technicality.
Regards, John

'Last 20 posts' you mean DGM - with 23 catagories, divided into who-knows-how-many threads, it doesn't take long for 20 posts to crank over. Rely, instead, on the blue dot ;D
Andy has been away in Darkest Africa - don't know if he's back yet.

As this forum is hosted on Proboards the functionality is rather limited - now if it was phpbb based you'd have topic subscription (to watch a particular topic) and a myriad of other goodies!

Thanks for these messages - I've found my 'BIO' and can see it would be helpful.
With a board this size it is easy I see it's easy to miss things unless you 'chip-in' something!
I'm a 'lurker' really!
Ps - Paul - out of interest what is phpbb?

Ps - Paul - out of interest what is phpbb? It's one of the most widely used pieces of software to create 'forums' or 'community groups'. www.phpbb.com/
