I've just bought ME No 4438, and there is a Peter Rich article in it.
Am I imagining things, or has this article been published before? Just seems familiar somehow.

Hi,
No this is the first time the articles have been published, If you remember back to his Star and Castle articles at the very start of Engineering in Minature before the bust up with the staff who did not pay him. He also started another Loco to works drawings which was the predecessor of the standard tank done by Doug Hewson later when technology caught up and we have laser cut bits etc.
The Armstrong and Singles are superb locomotives but again do need the backing of rapid build methods as they are quite complex. It is a shame that the articles keep having gaps between them and that the drawings are not complete within the magazine. Dear Peter has so much to offer us in methods of working and his hand done drawings are superb.
Every year I get the Castle set out and have a few days looking through them!
His livery book sounds such a good idea and just needs someone to take the plunge to even offer it as an E book.

The italicised intro about playing the pipes is a repeat of the last articles intro.

I was sure I had seen it before so I've had a look through my back copies, and its identical to the one published in ME 4428 in April, with the exception of the first paragraph, the addition of the bogie drawings which were missing in the April version, and the italicised bit about the pipes which Andrew has pointed out is lifted from the last article in June.

Hello all,
I have only just found this post in the forum and I apologise for not replying earlier. I am at a loss to explain what has happend and will take the matter up with David Clark. I know that David had a few probems with my articles recently but I don't know of any current problems. I've sent a PM to Richard.
