Hello
I am a member of Peterborough SME and as many know we lost our track at the end of last season. I am missing hauling passengers and wondered if there was any running this weekend Midlands to London area, even consider South of London. Prefer raised track.
Loco would either be a 3.5" South African (built to 1" scale, so big) or a 5" LNER Green Arrow.
Thank you for your help.
Regards Arron

Nottingham run every sunday until mid-October. Why not drop the secretary a line if you're interested. Secretary, Cliff Almond – secretary@nsmee.org.uk There's an event on there 29/30 Sept - traction engines and Gauge One so that might be a better weekend to consider.

Brighouse and Halifax ME are second Sunday until and including October, probably a little too far but there is a raised track.

Did you get to run anywhere in the end?

Yes, I went to Oxford Club and was made very welcome, had a very good day.
I have been back a couple more times since and its been the same warm welcome, fully recommended.
I did chat to some Rugby members at the Midlands ME Exhibition and you are also now on my list of potential visits.
Brighouse and Halifax ME does sound a long way from here, I should have a look at the map. Are the ECBR checks a requirement for visiting drivers?
I have seen the York MES track from the train on the big railway, that looks like it would be a nice one to visit.
Anyone know the Norwich track / club?

Arron the only thing you will need if visiting Brighouse would be a boiler cert if you are bringing a steam loco.
