Hi all
Pondering over the options for boiler bush material, the options seem to include: LG2 SAE660 PB1 PB102 Colphos 90
Apart from price and machinability, any one any opinions as what to go for?

Does it partly depend what you're soldering it with? I thought I'd read that you have to be careful with the leaded bronze and oxy-acetylene/propane. Not an expert though. Sure someone else will comment. I stick with Pb102.

Hi All Steer clear of anything with lead in (LG2 or SAE660) it if you are going to silver solder. The same applies if you are welding or silver soldering steel steer clear of things like EN1a which has lead added to make it free cutting. Regards Paul

I take the comments about lead content, but at least one of the commercial copper boiler makers uses only SAE660 (not sure why, there must be a good reason) without detriment.
