Hi all,
I have purchased a 3.5" gauge Conway, it looks unsteamed, the seller told me that his uncle built it about 10-20 years ago. There was no paperwork.
The boiler is stamped : Tested 160psi swp 80psi - KT.150.5.91
At a guess I would say the 150 is the 150th boiler and that 5.91 is May 1991
Any help identifying the builder or boiler maker would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

I don't know how it works in UK but in Australia the two letters refers to the club that did the test .

We at RMES give home-built boilers an RMES x/xx number, so thats possible

Many moons ago, I can remember my older brother buying a boiler from somebody called Roy Chambers in Weymouth, Dorset.
I seem to recall that it had the test pressure, date and R C in the stamping.
Perhaps KT could be the initials of the builder, or the company?

Roy did indeed make his boilers with his initials. (If anyone buys one, they were very well made.)
I dont recall anyone with the initals KT building boilers, but that is a possibility.
