As the Simplex section is a bit quiet, I thought I'd add a few pictures. Since the earthquakes earlier this year, the track has obviously moved a bit and we had to grind a bit off the lift-out gate to get it to fit in! Yesterday, we had a steam up for a whole afternoon, and I taught Rijie, my right had strong man to drive - he then ran the loco all afternoon and for the first time, I got a lift on the passenger trolley. Some pics to bore you - the ground has dried out again with the hot dry weather as you can see - A couple of laps with no passengers to get the hang of it all, then he was off! A very happy Rijie - no mishaps and the injector worked every time like a charm! He says he wants to wear goggles next time for the steam and sparks!! ;D DJ

Thanks for the invite, John - could be a plan for next year! Meanwhile I am pressing on, slowly, with mine and today am starting on the smoke box to boiler ring and then the smokebox door and bits - should keep me busy for a few days! regards and happy Christmas, if we don't make contact before the "big day" - I nearly said "holiday" but every day is a holiday (and a bonus) for us of maturer years!!
