For a number of years this group have organised a day when anyone from any of the Affiliation groups can come and visit. The year of 2013 is no different with the day chosen being Saturday August 3rd. Why not come aslong with your locomotive, either 5" gauge..3½" gauge or even 2½" gauge and more especialy either steam or electrically powered, and enjoy a peaceful day with the members. The track is nothing special, just approx 1000feet of elevated track running in a peaceful park land setting. Coal/Oil and Water are provided along with all the facilties needed to make the day as enjoyable as you can make it. Light refreshments will be to hand, managed by our wonderful ladies who provide most of our needs. Boiler paperwork is needed of course for the live steamers, whether it be from the Southern Federation/Northern Association or any of the other groups. We ourselves are members of the Northern Association. So, if possible come along and enjoy a drive without the normal constraints of passenger hauling, we will do our very best to make your day memorable. Thanks. Web Site contacts are done through www.ssme.org.uk

We at Staines would like to thank those fellow model engineers that came along and visted us today (Saturday August 3rd 2013) Despite the relatively small number we feel they enjoyed their time with us, each suggesting we repay them by visiting their own clubs in Southern England. So thanks again for the support, we trust you each had a safe journey back home.
