Hi All,
Has anyone got drawings for the pipe work required for a Stanier 4000 gallon tender. I'm currently building a 5 inch gauge Black 5.

The only drawing that gives any idea of the running is Martin Errors view of the tender for King's Own, which is available in Model Engineer. Don Young's Black 5 drawings don't show the pipe work.

Have had a preliminary search but without success. Are we right in assuming that the "Kings Own" is a Martin Evan's design?

In the 1970's Martin Evans produced 5"g designs based on the high pressure loco "Fury" and the Royal Scot class.I think the latter went under the title of "Royal Engineer" The tender was described in M.E. Vol 142,No 3532 in 1976: Details of the standard L.M.S. 4000 gallon tender for "Royal Engineer", also suitable for the "Rebuilt Royal Scot", the 5XP and 5P5F classes and the 2-8-0s.
