Thought that would grab your attention! Youtube is mostly absolute twaddle, but every now and again it throws up a gem: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gmq6mFAEqNQEspecially, if you are a Royal Scot fan. MM

Matt, Ta for the link. As you say, a gem. Hope you don't mind me hijacking your post to link to this, which may also be of interest to steam loco fans who haven't come across it before: www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/radioballads/original/johnaxon.shtmlIf it's not your cup of tea at the very beginning, stick with it....it gets interesting. Well, for me it did! Lurkio.

If you buy the DVD from "Camden" you get a better picture on the TV and the bonus of another "filum".

Thanks Lurkio - my mum is a big fan of this one and put me on to it last Christma, nice to be reminded of it.

Especially, if you are a Royal Scot fan. Most of the footplate footage looks like a baby Scot, chimney gives it away. Nice bit at the end showing the original Scot being cleaned.

This has to be one of my favourites, 6024 struggling early on a cold damp morning with a charter train from Minehead on the WSR, load 12 if memory serves me correctly, certainly sounds good as she passes the camera! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHRjty8BMlk

I was there that evening stood half way up the bank at vigo's crossing, it was superb, I was trying to find the video of it that my mate filmed on his website, no luck so far. It was a shame that one of the supposedly proffessional UK mainline steam video people set up some very powerful searchlights trackside pointing up the bank, hence the driver of the unit coming down the bank sounding the horn a few times, I pressume he was wondering what the hell was going on, possibly not able to see alot, many people blasted their actions. Doesn't she sound great though! ;D
