Does anyone have an opinion on the disposable or inexpensive de-burring tools such as these on Chronos' site for de-burring straight edges... www.chronos.ltd.uk/acatalog/Do they become blunt quickly? Is it better to shell out for something better? Is a file or even emery paper as good?

This one?? Nope, no experience of 'em. I generall run the corner of a piece of HHS along the edges to de-burr. The 'metal worker' could stand to lose some of the jewlery tho' I do 'ave one similar to this for 'oles, and find it very good.

So do I, quite effective.
The one I use most though is made from a triangular needle file, corners ground to a knife edge and having a firmly fixed handle.

I use a large pen knife for deburring holes and a smooth file for outside edges. Ron

I have one like Tel ( reasonable price ) and is very good and the bits will last a long time unless you drop the tool !!! , otherwise all the above work fine .
