Morning all,
Regarding oiling the inside big ends, I fitted brass oil cups to mine, I think they are as wide as the big end and around .25" deep? They're easily seen and accessible from underneath. I also fitted them to the rocker arm pins and the inside valve spindle pins. The loco has working leaf springs but assisted by coil springs that act on top of the driving axleboxes. They are housed in a socket attached to the frame and work via a plunger. The socket also acts as an oiler for the main boxes.
Whilst on this post, a big thankyou to all at Northwest Leicester for their warm welcome and hospitality over the weekend.
Regards,
Waggy.
