Morning folks Has anyone fitted a "Huanyang Inverter" ? I am going to fit one to my Warco Major and I am waiting on a new three phase motor being delivered. However although the inverter looks good quality the manual is absolute rubbish. If any one has fitted I would appreciate some advice on how to wire in the mains (240v Single phase) The input terminals are marked RST but no indication what wire goes where. Regards Alan

Hi Alan,
I have some experience with inverters. Virtually all inverters have pins labeled U,V,W for the motor (3 phase motor). The motor must be wired on "star" or "triangle" configuration depending on the nominal voltage of the inverter and the motor
Small inverters can essentially be of two kinds based on their input. Output (to the motor) is always 3 phase but input can be 3 phase or 2 phase inverters. Most of them are 3 phase. In such case pins are labeled R, S, T plus ground. 2 phase inverters are less common and are labeled R, N or something to that effect, implying only 2 wires + ground. So to my understanding you can't connect your inverter directly to a 2 phase mains because it is a 3 phase inverter.
Hope that helps.
Edit: please take 2 phase as synonym of single phase. I suppose this is how you call it. I think I may have some issues with the use of some language terms as I am not English native.

Regards Alan Alan drop me a PM with your email address, I have a manual for these inverters that seams to be good. I'm in the same boat with waiting for mine to arrive. Cheers Sean
