What can I use to seal the flange on the super heater tube to the flange tube from the regulator? Will on oring do or a special gasket?

I see this is your first post, so welcome! You might need to give us some more details about the the design of the joint you're trying to seal. Most flanged joints (flat, circular, ring of bolts) would have a gasket, perhaps with a thin smear of sealing compound e.g Hylomar. Here's example of gasket material: www.maidstone-engineering.com/gasket-paper-sheet-approx-12-x12-0-4mm-thick. If you wanted to use an o-ring, there would have to be a groove in the design to retain it. Wilf |
