Could anyone suggest the best way to form the curved regulator cover behind the chimney on the Britannia? I have one of Doug Hewsons smokebox kits which contains the flange plate for the cover, which will need to be silver soldered to the made up part to finish it off.
Thanks.

This pic is from my Brit Progress:Smokebox thread. The 5" Brit probably uses a longer narrower cover, but they could be made the same way. It is a 'picture frame' of thin brass with a 1/10" thick rectangular brass plate on top. Both pieces were rolled to the smokebox profile and then silver soldered together. The edges are then rounded off to give a formed shape.
