Just for the undecided with nothing to do this fine sunny weekend coming up, Southampton Open Weekend at Riverside Park is on with lots of good grub and chocolate (or carrot) cake! All traction engines/ lorries welcome (we had a ditch scraper last weekend) as well as the trams and locos 7 1/4", 5" & 3 1/3. Road vehicles can go inside the track or roam the park. Parking is not a problem as we can take cars into the park inside the track. Starting around 9-30 to 10 each day with (hopefully) lots of members to help you unload. Saturday and Sunday am wil be members and visitors only and then on Sunday afternoon those who like passenger hauling can join in from 1 till 4; we switch locos around if people would like only an hour or so. Usual requirments for boiler certs, insurance. Find us on the website www.southamptonsme.orgAny questions call me 023 8042 1201 or dgoyder@fidelio.ltd.uk or in this thread!! Cheers David PS And it is my wife's birthday on Saturday!!!!

And just in case you were thinking of coming, stay on the M3/M27 and exit at the airport exit onto Thomas Lewis Way. That way you will be clear of the Boat Show, Newcastle v Southampton at home and the cruise ships. Busy place is Soton!!! Cheers david
