GLR Kennions boiler construction booklet wanted

I've just got hold of a GLR kennions boiler kit, with drawings, but I don't have the construction booklet. Does anyone have a copy of it? Can anyone recommend a construction guide for this? I've read the Alex Farmer book, which was a good read. Is that enought?

I would imagine that would be more than enough, tis not a very complex boiler if I remember right

I certainly found Alex Farmer's book a very useful reference while building the boiler for Boadicea, a 5"g Britannia.
I must admit that I could have done with someone with a bit more experience giving me some hands on guidance in the early stages of silver brazing the parts together but phone calls to our club boiler inspector proved invaluable as did the change over to oxy-propane as a heat source.

you dont state which Kennions boiler it is! Kennions/GLR marketed boilers from a 5"g GWR City of Truro to Butch!

There was a construction series in Model Engineer back in 1997 (March to August - 7 Parts) I think you can still get a electronic (pdf) reprint from 'My Hobby Store'

(I think I have the scans from ME somewhere on my PC)

hi dave,
tubal cain described a very similar vertical boiler in ME (in fact he described a few different sizes) around 1978-1980. your club should have back copies.
