Well I'm going on Thursday i think, so hopefully the car park wont' be too badly cut up. I glad though that I invested in a 4x4 in July, this might be a good opportunity to test it out.

Ok, I'm getting worried now.... The Smart Car has wheels like castors so it looks like I might be staying for the weekend. Best pack an overnight bag methinks...

That's on the other one... and it's been abandoned having clamped it down to the mill for skimming the head. It took far more force to pull down than I expected and I was going to put it under a press to straighten it out. In the end I could see spending a lot of time and money on new guides that I'd have to make plus a few new buckets to get the clearances right. I found a reconditioning company who could sell me one skimmed with new valve guides and all set up for just over five hundred quid so I decided to not waste any more time on it. He's going to give me £50 for mine so that's good too. I'm so busy at the moment I don't really have time to do it, but the weather is closing in and the car is on the drive with the engine open so I need to button it up really. I've got all the parts on order and they will be here in a day or two so come the weekend I might be cracking on with it. I only bought it as a punt, and I'll still be several hundred quid up on the deal once it's going so I'm happy enough. Next time I see you, I might be driving it!

I thought I'd posted this but can't find it.
Repeat.
I'm going on Thursday as I have appointments on Friday and Saturday.
Looks like il'll have to wear my metal badge as I won't be able to get a sweatshirt before Thursday. Anyway, whatever happened to the sweatshirt supply suggestion on the forum ?

Tooled-up ??----We are----Here's me and some of the lads in down-town Telford last week--------------Hey TONY, I've just bought a brand new cow-gown to go with this Warco Miller...Is that an iron-on one taken off the forum ??------------------------------------------------------------------------- I used the logo from the original badge stuff on the forum and the shirt was bog standard supplier - ironed on I think. I did not iron it on myself - I cannot use such a thing. No idea how to switch one on. I am similarly challenged with vacuum cleaners - I just do not know how they are used! I understand there is a comedy finale this year - there are tickets on sale in order to watch the townies in the wet in the car park!

I like this, we ought to get the Latin translation and use it as our motto, maybe ?? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Quote}---- "I did not iron it on myself - I cannot use such a thing. No idea how to switch one on.

Hi Alan something like :- "Non est in me ferrum, - non est uti. Unam artem nullam" or "Ego impugnetur item vacuum cleaners - Ut nesciunt dicantur "
Going on Saturday, no badge or T- shirt so travelling incognito , will have teenage grandson in tow, think he is only going to get out of home-work or for the beef burgers !. Sounds like a good plan. Paul

------and to tow us out as well ? Afraid not, its only a 4x4 'shopping trolley' (VW Tiguan), because I don't do serious off road stuff since I retired from building motorways, but hopefully it will get itself out of the car park. The way its been raining, its going to be bad enough getting in, let alone getting out again.

Was there this afternoon and car park is nice and firm, forecast for some rain tonight then dry Thurs/Fri. The roads between the parking spaces is gravel so the most grass you have to drive over is only about 2 car lengths if you are there early David

This makes it sound like a rubbish venue to be honest. You'd think there would be decent tarmac parking at any venue these days, it's not much to ask!
