problem viewing images

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not see a thread about it in the forum.

When I look at a lot of threads, I am getting the following shown where there should be an image.

Photobucket problem

Am I doing anything wrong, or is it a problem elsewhere ?

Amendment - Looks like the image pointed to above, will not display correctly. Trying to fix the issue.

After a more careful look on other parts of this board, I now realise the situation with PhotoBucket.

It is a big shame that loads of photos from older postings are now gone. That was the serious strength of boards like this.

So, problem answered I think.

I suspect that 'your' apparent problems are related to Photobucket, previously a free photo-hosting site starting to charge for its' service(s). This occurred some four months ago (from memory).
This thread may give you some background.
The 'problem' is not with your machine.

Thanks for the link. It makes interesting reading of different peoples thoughts / solutions.

I am lucky that I can host my own pictures, but appreciate that most people on this forum are 'engineers' and not 'IT specialists'.

Just a pity that so many archive photos have disappeared, as stated in one of the posts the 'thats how they do it' moment is great.
