A new variety of Canalside Lighting has started to appear in Reading. These I am told are 100% recycled and are very cheap to run. While at Thorn Lighting I helped prototype 2 street lighting ideas. David and Lily.

Biodegradable too, now that's the most eco friendly lighting I've seen in a long while.

I still remember as an apprentice, lighting and trimming the wick on a row of these and putting them out at the side of our roadworks. The next morning the whole lot had been flattened by a lorry.

Mike these days they could well end up being "nicked" and sold-off as Antiques to a certain celebrity trader from North Wales !!.........

David and Lily. It sort of looks like a WW 2, U-Boat snorkel mast .......... maybe it's one of those mystery, unaccounted-for ones ?? It strayed up the river to Reading by mistake...... Now we know what happened to it..... Yes, lost with all Hans !!..

It is not often the Workshop looks so like a Christmas Cake. We even saved some Pink Fluffy Decorations to drape over it. David and Lily.

on the 12 th of April. You had to be fast as it melted by late afternoon. Almost like Christmas all over again. We were very surprised when it melted so fast and we could once again drill masses of holes. Mon Repose is looking well insulated compared to our Neighbors. Then again a sneek peep into their loft showed a nice selection of scatter insulation. The Chimney being part of the worst joke when I popped round to say how much it was just for the Materials, as it is a shared one DOUBLE of course. "IT IS ON THE HOUSE.!" I told Rob. Who is a Site Supervisor. They put up with us. Meanwhile Tash and Gareth have had enough and are leaving the other side. Drilling holes? Angle grinding? Our building site? Borrowing their Cats all day? See next Post!! David and Lily. No they both work from home and can live closer to their Parents!!!

Another interesting cat fact. There are almost no male tortoiseshell colour cats, just females. The very rare occurrence of a male will be sterile
