Using Dropbox to upload photos into the ME Clearing House site
I see you are trying to use Dropbox. You must make your file 'public' for all to see. Try the following sequence of mine:
1. Reduce image size to around 100kB
2. importantly convert .tif and .pdf drawings to .jpg format!!
3. Drag the file into your PC Dropbox Public folder (don't forget to open Dropbox so it connects with the web)
4. Right click on your picture in Dropbox, select View on Dropbox.com, or go to the Dropbox webpage and find the file.
5. On the webpage click the blue Share button
6. Click create a link, then click copy link (I also do a cntl-C or cmd-C)
7. Go back to your forum page you are writing and paste what you have
8. Add to the front of that paste
[img style="max-width:70%;" src=" and at the end delete the
dl=0 and replace with
raw=1”] (watch that a second quotes mark - " – isn't added in at the end of the string)
9. Also, the 100% can be reduced to 70% or something else to make the picture a good size.
10. On ME Forum you will not see the file before first upload, but click ‘preview’ to see the file when in edit mode. Don’t Preview before upload or the link text might be lost.
