Now Reading this topic has given me some chuckles i must say I Have a large 7 1/4 Tinkerbell with a loco type boiler that was built by harry Holt we fitted copper tubes 7 years ago and it has not had an issue I pay a commercial inspector to do my hot and cold exams and if what nutter suggests happens i will never allow my boiler to be tested by someone who shows the utter incompetce and contempt for British and European LAW! my way may cost me £250 pounds a year but my engine is used on a commercial basis and as such i want to know that it is safe for me to operate after all im sat in the cab but the 5 year old child who is sat next to it isn't and if there was a issue and someone was hurt i would pack up model engineering and working on standard gauge railways all together it is utter madness to do things such as scrimping and saving where Safety is concerned!

Thank you for your one-liner. I think I agree with most of what you say - except "What Nutter suggests happens" doesn't.
