Well, I would suggest the Caledonian Railway 4-6-0 "CARDEAN " A 7 1/4 " model is in the Glasgow Museum of Transport. I am biased as at one time I worked on the Cardean Estate and the previous owner had been a Director of the C.R. and that's where the loco name came from, I've never heard of the names of the other members of the class, anyone know ? Cardean was No. 603 and there were only 6 in the class, or maybe 10. One of the class was involved in the Quintinshill railway disaster during WW1, still the worst crash in terms of fatalities in theUK

Coincidently, I was doing a price comparison for Reeves castings 2 days ago. In 1981 I bought a set of Rob Roy castings from Reeves for £57, at that time I was earning about £100 a week as a landscape gardener, the same set now costs about £680 and so my equivalent weekly wage should be about £1200. As it is less than a third of that [if the weather is good] then where did I go wrong Ian

Hello Orville, I got Chris's book recently and have found it very useful and a great timesaver. I have just started painting a Maisie tender with surprisingly good results![ obviously not as good as Bongo ] It is a book that you will constantly dip into, good luck! Ian.
